Starting off 2024, Sam was featured in an IT Cosmetics Instagram promotion for an anti-redness serum.

In the Fall of 2022, Sam temporarily moved to Barcelona, Spain. There, he studied under many notable professionals of Southern Europe. While improving his craft, he also had an immersive experience into the art forms of Catalonia and the rising popularity of Musical Theatre across Europe.

Graduating in May 2022, Sam rocked out to Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen and Dancing on My Own in the style of Robyn in the James Madison University 2022 Showcase! Watch him and his classmates below!

Sam workshopped an original musical in Spring 2022. A piece that began as a passion project in early March became a full length musical in late April examining the life of Marie Antoinette and others in her inner circle within Versailles. MARIE explores finding individual agency, the rigid template of masculinity and its expectations, modern sexuality and gender expression, and just really really really enjoying your twenties. Sam intends to continue adapting and workshopping this piece in the future.

In Fall 2021, Sam had the opportunity to run a variety show for the JMU Student Ambassadors raising money for a local homeless shelter. He co-directed, choreographed, and emceed the event raising over $4,500!

In November 2021, Sam rocked out to the Go-Gos in heavy eyeshadow and a corset. In this production, choreographed by Ashleigh King, he was an ensemble member as well as Musidorus u/s.

Written by a college peer, Sam participated in the first cast recording of the song cycle Open, Stay. He can be heard singing “The Arizona Song.” He will also be participating in a workshop of the song cycle in February 2022.

Along with the JMU Musical Theatre class of 2022, Sam participated in a virtual concert featuring new works. He can be found dancing in the opening number as well as singing “Twilight” from Switched by Jonatha Brooke. He also in charge of recording, sound editing, and sound mixing for this project.

In the Spring of 2020, Sam hit the stage as an ensemble member of JMU’s production of Side Show. Throughout the process, he also had the opportunity to be the Sir u/s.

Under the direction of Jacob Brent, Sam was Fabian in the first collegiate production of a musical adaption of Twelfth Night written by Shaina Taub.
